The Sun Country Health Region Infection Prevention and Control program focuses on reducing the risk of transmission of infectious agents to staff, clients, volunteers, visitors, students, physicians, licensed independent practitioners, and the public.
The Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program also aims to reduce the client risks for infections related to the use of devices and procedures performed during their care.
To meet current Accreditation Standards, the Infection Control Continuous Quality Improvement Committee wanted to improve employee access to infection control education to assist with preventing the spread of infections in SCHR.
