"The Gateway to the Big Muddy!"
Did you know Bengough, SK became a town in 1958?
The town was named after Canadian cartoonist, John Wilson Bengough. It is also located just north of a landmark, Big Muddy, which is why the town is known as "The Gateway to the Big Muddy."
This landmark is an ancient water course formed during the last glacial period, a "must-see" valley with breath-taking scenery.
