Community Health

Funding level: $50,000 to $100,000

We serve a community with12000 people. There are 3 nursing homes with 200 plus people, numerous smaller care homes, and two larger apartments with over 100 residents.
This creates about 3000 to 4000 calls a year. People are taken for appointments for many different reasons around the community. We also have several special needs people needing transportation.

With limited funding from service clubs, a small grant and fee for rides, we operate on a tight budget. To put money away for a new bus is next to impossible. We just replaced the transmission and yesterday the rear ends stopped working. This year we will have spent close to $10,000 for maintenance.
We need a new bus to replace this one to cut or operational costs down.
