New VP for Sun Country Health Region

Marga Cugnet, CEO of Sun Country Health Region, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Knoch as Vice President of Corporate and Finance, effective January 14, 2013.

Mr. Knoch comes from Red Deer, AB where he served as a member of the David Thompson Health Region senior management team with responsibility for clinical support departments.  He has worked at the senior level in health regions in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Alberta for 19 years.

Mr. Knoch has completed an MBA, BA and has a CHE (Certified Health Executive) designation from the Canadian College of Health Service Executives.

He grew up on the prairies and is married with one son.

“We are pleased with his appointment,” says Mrs. Cugnet. “Pamela Haupstein has served very ably as an Interim VP for over two years and is anxious to move to other pursuits with the Region. We thank her for her work in this position.”

“Mr. Knoch’s experience in leading change and quality improvement at the organization level will prove to be very helpful as the Region moves into its second year using the lean management system,” she says.
