Community based Injury Prevention

Population Health Promotion strives to build awareness of injury prevention strategies in rural areas, promote and support environmental changes that reduce injuries as well as collaborate with other injury prevention organizations Regionally, Provincially and Nationally.

It also supports the initiatives of the Canadian Agriculture Safety Association and the Saskatchewan Alliance for Health and Safety in Agriculture

Population Health Promotion is currently involved in the following initiatives:

  •  Safe Kids Week – Partnering with Safe Kids Canada to promote this campaign through displays and education materials at various events
  •  Teddy Bear Hospital
  •  Early Childhood Celebrations
  •  Promote use of “Grow Up With Safety” program
  •  Coordinate Progressive Agricultural Safety Day
