Return to directoryForty (40) Developmental Assets
The 40 Developmental Assets are experiences and opportunities that young people need in order to grow up healthy, caring and responsible.
The more assets a child/youth has, the more likely they are to thrive and the less likely they are to engage in risk taking behaviors. Assets have power for all young people, regardless of their gender, economic status, family, or race/ethnicity.
The Developmental Asset framework allows all people to become asset builders, and is derived from many years of research conducted by Search Institute.
Sun Country Health Region supports its communities in asset building.
