Root Vegetables

Root vegetables like potatoes, carrots, parsnips, turnips, sweet potatoes and onions are often great bargains at the grocery store or farmer’s market; use them in soups and stews.

Third doctor providing services in Coronach

Sun Country Health Region announces a third doctor is travelling to Coronach from Assiniboia each week to help provide patient services at the Primary Health Clinic in Coronach.

As of Feb. 24, Dr. Akram Khalil has joined Dr. Daniel Glaeske and Dr. Wael Guirguis.

Clinic days will change on March 1 to Monday and Thursday to accommodate the doctors’ schedules.

The travelling doctors are the result of an innovate partnership between Sun Country Health Region and Five Hills Health Region forged in 2013. The doctors’ presence in Coronach provides SCHR with the opportunity to build a sustainable primary health team to look after the basic health care needs of the local population.

Coronach and area also receive the services of physical and occupational therapists, a dietitian, mental health rehabilitation services, social workers, public health nursing, public health inspection, falls prevention information, assistance with autism, diabetes, acquired brain injuries, home care, diagnostic services and community paramedics on an as-needed basis.

To book an appointment with a doctor at the Coronach Primary Health Clinic, please call 306-267-2200 on Monday or Thursday, between 8-4:30 p.m. Laboratory services are currently provided Wednesdays from 8 – 4:30 p.m.  Contact numbers for other members of the team remain the same.
