HEALTH SCIENCES SERVICE DISRUPTION

Some services provided by Sun Country Health Region may be reduced in the event of a local disruption of services provided by the Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan (HSAS).  

Ambulance Services will be provided as usual. Call 911 in an emergency.

In the event of a strike:

1. The following services will operate on reduced hours:
 - For Community Health Services
 Mental Health & Addiction Services
 Social Workers 
 Psychologist
 Addictions Counsellors
 Mental Health Therapists
 Speech Language Pathologists
 Public Health Inspection Services

- For a Home Care Assessment
Please contact the office in your area to request services. Call: Home Care South at 637-3630; Home Care West at 842-6870; Home Care East at 455-2116

- For the Regional Therapy Department
Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy
Speech & Language (Adult) – Service will be provided with significantly reduced hours. The service will be provided in emergent cases.
ABI Coordinator – Service will be provided with significantly reduced hours.

 2. The following services will be provided only in an emergency: Primary & Integrated Health Dietitians, Primary & Integrated Health Social Workers, Primary & Integrated Health Telehealth

3. The following services will not be provided during HSAS strike action: Dental Health Educator, Health Educators,  Nutritionist, Chronic Disease Management, Quality Improvement Facilitation

All other programs and services provided on a regular basis by Sun Country Health Region will continue as usual.
