Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)

The Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) is an employee benefit program, supported and administered by both labour and management.

EFAP provides confidential, professional assistance through counseling to employees, spouses and dependants to help them resolve personal difficulties which may negatively affect the employee's job performance or personal well-being.

You can receive confidential counselling and coaching for a variety of life balance and health issues, or get expert support to manage your career better.

For example, counselling is available for:
- child care and parenting issues,
- elder and family care,
- legal and financial issues,
- smoking cessation,
- weight management
- nutrition,
- career planning,
- workplace issues,
- pre-retirement planning
- shift work.

Homewood Human Solutions™ is EFAP provider province-wide. In addition to providing you with professional help in a challenging situation, you and your dependent family members will have access to confidential counselling services.

Effective October 1, 2011 you can call Homewood Human Solutions™ Client Service Centre 24 hours/day, 7 days/week at 1-800-663-1142.
